CLIMBING IS DANGEROUS

UpTown Climbing cannot eliminate the risk inherent in climbing. This dictates the need for personal responsibility with climbers and parents of minors who climb. We believe the most common cause of climbing-related injury is human error and inattentiveness, even in experienced climbers.

This is why our Visitor Agreement / Waiver of Liability is required for everyone who enters the gym, even if you aren’t climbing. Visitors under 18 years of age must have a waiver completed by their parent or legal guardian only. We consider it an act of fraud if the Agreement is completed by someone other than the climbing adult or parent/court-appointed guardian of the climbing minor child.
